KSE100 Index Reaches Record High Amid Market Gains

Karachi: The KSE100 index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) climbed to a new 52-week high on Tuesday, closing at 188,621.78 points, marking a 0.46% increase with an 860.09 point gain. The benchmark index's rise was supported by significant gains in key stocks, including SAZEW and AICL, which posted increases of 9.13% and 5.41%, respectively.

According to JS Global, the KSE30 index also observed an uptick, closing at 57,731.36 points, a 0.36% increase. The market capitalization of PSX reached Rs 21,304.78 billion, recording a 0.52% rise in day-over-day percentage change. The total trading volume stood at 1,225.81 million shares, with a total value of Rs 63.90 billion.

Among the volume leaders, HASCOL, KEL, and TREET were the most actively traded stocks, with HASCOL leading at 113.00 million shares. Meanwhile, LOTCHEM was among the top decliners, shedding 5.40% of its value. The market's year-to-date performance showed significant growth of over 50% for the fiscal year 2026.

In the regional context, South Korea's KOSPI index experienced a slight dip of 0.4%, while Taiwan's TWII index saw a 0.4% rise. Other regional markets such as India and the Philippines faced declines of 1.3% each, according to the latest figures provided by JS Global.
