Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange's KSE100 index rose by 1,646.81 points, or 0.98%, closing at 170,511.86, with AICL leading the gainers. The KSE30 index also saw an increase, climbing 592.12 points to reach 50,839.23.
According to JS Global, AICL's stock price surged by 6.34% to 97.43, followed closely by PABC and KTML, which increased by 5.86% and 4.86%, respectively. The market capitalization of the PSX saw a day-on-day percentage change of 0.85%, bringing it to Rs. 19,015.67 billion, equivalent to US$ 68.57 billion.
The trading session recorded a total volume of 687.47 million shares, with a total value of Rs. 33.70 billion or US$ 121.54 million. CNERGY was the volume leader with 104.27 million shares traded, followed by PRL and MDTL. Meanwhile, IBFL was the top loser, with its stock price decreasing by 6.32% to 247.00.
