KSE100 Index Rises by 1.59% as Market Capitalization Increases

Karachi: The KSE100 index saw a significant increase on the Karachi Stock Exchange, rising by 1.59% to reach 172,399.91 points. The overall market capitalization also experienced growth, reaching Rs 19,120.17 billion, an increase of 1.29% in daily terms.

According to JS Global, the KSE30 index also climbed, registering a 1.65% rise to 51,428.16 points. The day's top gainers included DGKC, which saw a 6.30% increase, and POWER, which rose by 5.81%. On the other hand, TPLRF1 and HCAR were among the day's top losers, showing declines of 2.87% and 2.55%, respectively.

Trading volume for the day was robust with a total of 890.80 million shares exchanged, amounting to a value of Rs 41.99 billion or approximately US$ 150.85 million. The 52-week high for market capitalization was Rs 21,304.78 billion, while the low was Rs 14,063.57 billion.

In regional markets, Korea’s KOSPI index saw the highest increase, climbing 4.6%, while India’s BSESN rose by 2.3%. Meanwhile, the Malaysian KLSE index showed a marginal increase of 0.2%.
