Karachi: The KSE100 Index recorded a slight increase, closing at 171,153.17, up from 170,884.59, marking a change of 268.58 points or 0.16 percent. The KSE30 Index also saw a modest rise, ending at 50,901.99, an increase of 18.99 points or 0.04 percent.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market experienced heightened trading activity, with the turnover for regular trading reaching 692,884,098, up from 576,257,960 previously. The traded value in the regular market decreased to 20,100,373,169 from 22,408,641,290. Direct Foreign Capital (DFC) activity also saw significant increases, with turnover climbing to 368,488,500 from 152,263,000 and the traded value rising to 15,354,820,985 from 6,468,818,840. The market capitalization in the regular segment reached 19,041,426,906,532, a slight increase from the previous 19,038,154,170,297.
