KSE100 Index Sees Modest Gains as Market Capitalization Slightly Increases

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange's KSE100 index witnessed a modest increase on the latest trading day, closing at 174,929.69 points, marking a 0.09% rise with a 153.10-point gain. The KSE30 index also saw a slight uptick, increasing by 0.10% to 52,185.07 points. The market capitalization of the Pakistan Stock Exchange edged up to Rs 19,586.64 billion, showing a 0.03% day-on-day change.

According to JS Global, the leading gainers included Pakgen Power Limited (PGLC), which rose by 9.99% to a price of Rs 19.82, and Pak Elektron Limited (PAEL), which increased by 3.55% to Rs 39.34. Other notable gainers were International Steels Limited (ISL) and Javedan Corporation Limited (JVDC), which saw their prices increase by 2.75% and 2.49%, respectively.

The report identified Bhanero Textile Mills Limited (BNWM) as one of the top losers, with its share price declining by 2.75% to Rs 66.13. Other shares that fell included Service Industries Limited (SRVI) and Pakistan Services Limited (PSEL), with declines of 2.23% and 2.08%, respectively.

The total trading volume reached 627.45 million shares, with a total value of Rs 25.19 billion. On the regional front, the index performances varied, with Indonesia's JKSE seeing a notable increase of 1.1%, while India's BSESN dropped by 0.5%.
