KSE100 Sees Notable Gains as Market Capitalization Climbs

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) experienced significant growth in its indices, with the KSE100 index rising by 1,304.39 points to reach 166,677.70. This marked an increase of 0.79% in daily turnover. The KSE30 index also gained 361.13 points, ending at 50,855.17.

The standout performer of the day was SRVI, which saw its price rise by 8.28%, closing at 1,570.21. Other notable gainers included PIOC, which increased by 6.86%, and PSX, which went up by 4.43%.

Conversely, FATIMA was among the top losers, experiencing a decrease of 3.64%. PKGP and YOUW also saw declines, with their prices dropping by 3.09% and 2.86%, respectively.

In terms of market capitalization, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) saw its value grow to 18,866.44 billion rupees, equivalent to 67.26 billion US dollars. This marked a day-on-day increase of 0.65%.

The trading volume for the day totaled 592.75 million shares, with a value of 41.97 billion rupees, approximately 149.61 million US dollars. The year-to-date change for the PSX stood at 30.15%.

In regional markets, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SSEA) in China saw a slight increase of 0.3%, while the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) in South Korea faced a decline of 1.5%.
