KSE30 and KSE100 Indices Experience Decline Amid Decreased Market Turnover

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange witnessed a downturn on March 19, 2026, as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices registered significant losses. The KSE30 index fell by 681.25 points, closing at 46,223.61, while the KSE100 index decreased by 1,551.88 points, ending the session at 152,740.38. This decline reflects a percentage drop of 1.45% for the KSE30 and 1.01% for the KSE100.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market’s turnover decreased, with 326,636,322 shares traded in regular (REG) transactions, down from 397,465,659 in the previous session. The traded value also saw a decline, reaching 19,399,664,412 from the previous 22,352,497,792. Market capitalization fell to 17,067,567,783,146 from 17,254,970,751,401. The decrease in market activity and indices highlights the challenging trading environment on this particular day.
