Karachi: In a day of mixed trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the KSE30 index showed a modest increase, while the KSE100 index experienced a slight decline. The KSE30 closed at 51,854.06, marking a gain of 22.42 points or 0.04 percent from its previous close of 51,831.63. Conversely, the KSE100 index ended the trading session at 170,313.86, falling by 133.44 points or 0.08 percent from its previous close of 170,447.30.
The trading day saw the KSE30 index reaching a high of 52,164.65 and a low of 51,437.47. Meanwhile, the KSE100 index recorded a high of 171,392.63 and a low of 169,230.50 during the session.
Market turnover for regular trades was reported at 1,068,511,867 shares, compared to the previous session's turnover of 1,176,637,847 shares. The traded value for regular shares stood at 51,798,705,544, down from 53,473,047,664 in the last session. Market capitalization for the regular market was slightly higher at 19,377,040,306,766 compared to the previous figure of 19,369,774,745,579.
In the futures market, the Daily Futures Contracts (DFC) saw a turnover of 222,329,500 shares, with a traded value of 12,532,357,030, both figures slightly down from the previous session.
Meanwhile, the Odd Lots (ODL) market reported a turnover of 622 shares, a decrease from the previous 717 shares, with traded values also dropping to 12,191 from 13,226.
