Lahore: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Mian Abuzar Shad highlighted the need for enhanced cooperation between the business community and political leaders to stimulate sustainable economic growth during a meeting with Zia ud Din Ansari, Ameer of Jamat-e-Islami Lahore. The discussion centered on bolstering entrepreneurship and job creation as pivotal elements in advancing regional economic development.
According to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the meeting addressed several key initiatives aimed at promoting trade and entrepreneurship, and creating employment opportunities, particularly for the youth. Mian Abuzar Shad emphasized the private sector’s critical role in driving economic development and the LCCI’s commitment to creating a favorable business environment in collaboration with political entities.
Zia ud Din Ansari commended the dedication of the LCCI office bearers and acknowledged the significant contributions of the business community to the economy. He assured full support from Jamat-e-Islami for collaborative projects that enhance local business and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, he highlighted Jamat-e-Islami’s efforts to empower the youth, inviting the LCCI to participate in the Al Khidmat Foundation’s Bano Qabil Program, which provides skill-building courses ranging from three to six months.
The meeting also touched upon Jamat-e-Islami’s planned solidarity event with Palestine, aimed at raising awareness and support for the Palestinian cause, set for October 7. LCCI Vice Presidents Engineer Khalid Usman and Shahid Nazir Chaudhry expressed their eagerness to support initiatives that foster youth empowerment and strengthen the local economy, recognizing that investing in young people is crucial for the nation’s future.
