Lahore: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has expressed strong approval for the government’s efforts to secure significant investments from Saudi Arabia, anticipating a major boost to Pakistan’s economic activities. LCCI leaders praised the initiative as a historic move towards the country’s economic revival, set to be finalized during the upcoming visit of the Saudi Minister of Investment.

According to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad, along with Senior Vice President Engineer Khalid Usman and Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry, highlighted the multifaceted benefits expected from these investments. They noted that the deals would strengthen bilateral relations and provide essential capital to key sectors including energy, infrastructure, technology, and manufacturing, fostering substantial economic growth.

Mian Abuzar Shad underscored the significance of Saudi Arabia as a pivotal economic partner, with the potential to catalyze billions in foreign investment and significantly enhance Pakistan’s global economic standing. The agreements are expected to directly impact industrial growth, agriculture, and information technology, creating thousands of job opportunities across the country.

The LCCI leadership described the forthcoming investments as game-changing, with the potential to improve national connectivity and foundational economic progress. Enhanced ties with Saudi Arabia are also expected to boost Pakistan’s export sector, expanding access to new markets and bolstering foreign exchange reserves.

Highlighting the broader implications of the deals, LCCI officials emphasized the opportunities for private sector partnerships between Pakistani and Saudi companies, especially in manufacturing, services, and technology. They also projected easier access for Pakistani businesses to Saudi markets, which could increase exports of textiles, agricultural products, and consumer goods.

Collectively, LCCI leaders praised Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for his role in prioritizing economic diplomacy and securing deals pivotal for addressing some of Pakistan’s most pressing economic challenges. They expressed optimism that these agreements would invigorate the economy, spur business innovation, and generate employment, thereby stabilizing Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves and improving the trade balance.

The Lahore Chamber urged the Pakistani business community to leverage these upcoming opportunities for partnerships and investments spurred by these agreements.
