Lahore Chamber of Commerce Hosts Clinics to Bolster Business Compliance and Growth

Lahore: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) hosted its first SECP Clinic and the 22nd Tax Clinic, drawing a broad spectrum of entrepreneurs, SMEs, and corporate representatives. These clinics are designed to provide vital regulatory and tax guidance to enhance business compliance and operational ease.

According to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the SECP Clinic offered detailed advice on business registration processes and compliance with the regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). This session, led by SECP Assistant Registrar Tahir Saif ud Din, aimed to demystify recent regulatory changes and offer tailored advice to attendees based on their specific business challenges.

The day continued with the LCCI’s 22nd Tax Clinic, where Omer Zaheer Malik, Chairman of the MNP and Taxation Committee at ACCA Pakistan, provided guidance on various tax-related issues including filing procedures, tax incentives, and recent legislative changes. These sessions were designed to equip businesses with the necessary knowledge to fulfill their tax obligations and explore available incentives effectively.

LCCI President Kashif Anwar reiterated the Chamber’s commitment to supporting the local business community. "Our Tax and SECP Clinics are crucial for ensuring that businesses can navigate the complexities of regulatory and tax systems with confidence," he stated. Anwar emphasized the importance of these clinics in fostering a conducive business environment and enhancing the ease of doing business in Pakistan.
