Lahore Commissioner Advocates for Rapid Completion of LDA Projects

Lahore, Lahore Commissioner Zaid Bin Maqsood has emphasized the importance of completing the Lahore Development Authority's (LDA) key infrastructure projects promptly, aiming to provide significant relief to the city’s residents.

According to Zameen.Com, during his visits to the Ravi Bridge Extension Project and the Controlled Access Corridor Closed Road, Commissioner Maqsood pressed on the need to meet project deadlines to improve city infrastructure and reduce congestion. Chief Engineer Israr Saeed pointed out specific challenges, such as the difficulty in diverting the river for the expansion of Ravi Bridge. Despite these obstacles, notable progress has been made, with most of the construction milestones like the installation of 91 out of 96 girders, nearly complete.

In addition to the Ravi project, Commissioner Maqsood, together with LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, inspected the Bund Road project. There, they observed the simultaneous progression of traffic and construction activities. The focus has now shifted to expediting the construction of service roads and drainage systems to facilitate smoother traffic flow and enhance urban mobility.

The accelerated completion of these projects is anticipated to significantly improve the living and commuting conditions for Lahore’s residents, reflecting the administration's commitment to urban development and public welfare.
