Lahore, The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) took decisive action on Friday against illegal constructions in the city, leading to the demolition and sealing of numerous buildings that were found to be in violation of local bylaws. This sweeping operation targeted a variety of structures, including service stations, workshops, and shops, across several areas of Lahore such as Johar Town, Nasheman-e-Iqbal, Ferozepur Road, and Pine Avenue.

During the operation, LDA teams, under the leadership of Chief Town Planner-II Athar Ali, demolished several buildings and sealed 25 shops located on Ferozepur Road and Katcha Jail Road. Officials from the LDA highlighted that owners of the affected buildings had received prior notices, indicating that the demolitions and sealings were carried out as a last resort after compliance efforts were ignored.
