Lahore Development Plan Pushed for Rapid Completion by Chief Minister Maryam

Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has called for the expedited completion of the Lahore Development Plan. In a push for rapid urban improvement, she mandated the swift execution of multiple infrastructure projects, including street and market refurbishments, enhanced street lighting, and the conclusion of drainage system updates within the next three months.

According to Zameen.Com, during a special session focused on the Lahore Development Plan, CM Maryam received a comprehensive overview of ongoing and planned projects, covering the renovation of streets, roads, sanitation facilities, and other critical infrastructure. The session led to the decision to incorporate a Geographical Information System-based monitoring mechanism to ensure the efficient progress of the development activities.

The meeting also called for the involvement of NesPak and environmental experts to assist with the technical and ecological aspects of the projects. This includes initiatives aimed at environmental conservation and the expansion of parks and green spaces within the city. CM Maryam emphasized the urgency of addressing the deteriorated conditions of Lahore’s roads and sewerage systems and highlighted the need for maintaining cleanliness throughout the city.

The session was attended by several prominent figures, including Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Former Senator Parvez Rasheed, Provincial Ministers Bilal Yasin and Syed Ashiq Kirmani, MPA Sania Ashiq, and key local officials such as the Principal Secretary to CM, the Commissioner, and the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore.
