Lahore Waste Management Company Completes Major Cleanup Across Key City Zones

Lahore, The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has successfully completed an extensive cleanup operation across several major areas in Lahore, significantly enhancing the cleanliness of the city’s prominent districts.

According to Zameen.Com, the cleanup initiative targeted key zones such as Allama Iqbal Town, Kareem Block, Johar Town, and Thokar Niaz Baig. The operation is part of the ‘Suthra Punjab’ initiative spearheaded by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Punjab. Specialized cleaning teams were deployed to high-traffic areas including G1 Market, Khokhar Chowk, Expo Centre, and Emporium Mall. Additionally, mechanical sweeping was carried out along major thoroughfares such as Main Boulevard Gulberg, Canal Road, Jail Road, and Mall Road.

Under the direction of CEO Babar Sahib Din, LWMC's efforts included the efficient clearing of over 5,000 containers across nine towns during the morning shift. The company continues to encourage residents to use designated dustbins for waste disposal and to report any sanitation issues via the helpline 1139 or through social media platforms for prompt attention.
