LCCI Delegation Visits Gujranwala Business Centre to Strengthen Regional Business Ties

Lahore: In an effort to enhance regional cooperation and explore new business opportunities, a delegation from the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) visited the Gujranwala Business Centre (GBC). Led by LCCI President Kashif Anwar, the delegation included key members of the LCCI executive committee. The visit aimed to foster economic growth and facilitate trade within the region.

According to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Gujranwala Business Centre, representing a consortium of 50 prominent companies, has played a pivotal role in boosting the local and export markets for Gujranwala’s industrial products. During the visit, LCCI President Kashif Anwar praised GBC’s efforts in promoting local industries despite economic challenges like inflation and complex taxation systems. He highlighted LCCI’s initiatives, such as MoUs with various institutions to benefit its 40,000 members and promote industry-academia linkages.

The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between LCCI and GBC to unlock new business opportunities and enhance the economic landscape of both Lahore and Gujranwala. GBC Chairman Ahmad Ikram Rauf provided an overview of the centre’s operations and its successful engagement with international markets, noting that GBC’s products are now reaching countries like Sri Lanka, South Sudan, and Uganda.

The visit also included discussions on future plans to expand into additional markets in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, reflecting GBC’s ongoing commitment to driving economic growth and positioning Gujranwala as a key player in the global marketplace. Both organizations expressed a willingness to pursue joint initiatives that could further enhance business growth and increase export potential.
