Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Tahir Farooq conducted an inspection of the Controlled Access Corridor Closed Road project on July 16, focusing on the critical infrastructure enhancements along a key stretch of the city's roadway system.
According to Zameen.Com, DG Farooq reviewed the ongoing construction efforts within Package Two of the project, which extends from Babu Sabu to Saggian Service Road. The inspection was also attended by Project Director Haroon Safi and the project contractor, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of the progress.
During the visit, DG Farooq was briefed in detail about the daily advancements and milestones reached. This included rapid development in the construction of a drainage system alongside the service road and concurrent concreting and asphalting processes. Additionally, efforts to enhance water management through the water bond process were underway in the segment from Gulshan Ravi to Babu Sabu.
The LDA has intensified its resource allocation, bringing in additional machinery to meet the project timelines effectively. DG Farooq underscored the importance of expediting the work post-Ashura to sustain the project’s momentum and adhere to the established deadlines. This initiative is part of the LDA's broader mission to improve Lahore’s infrastructure and ensure the timely completion of pivotal development projects.
