Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has initiated a comprehensive operation to remove construction materials and debris from city roads, aiming to improve urban mobility and enforce regulatory compliance under the supervision of Director General Tahir Farooq.
According to Zameen.Com, DG Farooq personally led inspections at various sites including Ada Plot and Pine Avenue, ensuring the enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to construction material management. He stressed the importance of strict adherence to these SOPs, with a warning that non-compliance could result in property sealing and legal actions. The operation also focuses on eliminating illegal encroachments and signboards. During the campaign, fines were levied for detected violations, and property owners were directed to rectify damages stemming from construction activities.
