Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday sealed several properties due to non-payment of commercialisation fees and unauthorized commercial use, focusing enforcement efforts in prominent areas including Bypass Road, Johar Town, Garden Town, and Gulberg.
According to Zameen.Com, the Town Planning Wing of LDA conducted these operations targeting establishments such as showrooms, private schools, grocery stores, restaurants, private offices, and various shops. In Johar Town alone, the LDA’s Town Planning Zone-4 sealed 14 properties for unpaid commercialisation fees. Meanwhile, Town Planning Zone-3 took similar actions in Garden Town and Gulberg, sealing 10 properties.
These enforcement measures followed multiple notices issued to these properties, urging them to settle their outstanding dues. The operations were carried out under the direction of the Operations Director of Town Planning Zone-4 and the Director of Town Planning Zone-3. The primary aim of these actions is to enforce compliance with commercialisation regulations and curtail illegal commercial activities within the city.
