LDA Sets PKR 96.16 Billion Budget for New Fiscal Year

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sanctioned a PKR 96.16 billion budget for the upcoming fiscal year, aimed at enhancing urban development, water and sanitation, and traffic planning in the city.

According to Zameen.Com, the budget approval occurred during the first meeting of the LDA governing body, which was chaired by Vice Chairman Mian Marghub Ahmed. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq presented the detailed agenda to the members, highlighting key allocations and strategic initiatives.

The budget distribution includes PKR 59.18 billion for the LDA Urban Development Wing, PKR 34.5 billion for the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), and PKR 2.49 billion for the Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA). Furthermore, the meeting also led to the approval of several critical measures such as the classification and reclassification of eight major roads for commercial use, amendments to the LDA Transfer of Properties Regulation 2023, and the establishment of the Management of Properties of Lahore Development Authority Lease Right Regulation 2024.
