Major Housing Development, ‘Margalla Orchards’, Launched in Islamabad

Islamabad: A significant collaboration between the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), and the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has led to the initiation of a new housing project named ‘Margalla Orchards’ situated on Park Road in Islamabad. The project aims to address the increasing demand for affordable housing within the city, focusing on federal government employees and members of the legal fraternity.

According to Zameen.Com, the partnership was announced on September 22, with construction already underway on the substantial 8,380-kanal area. The development plans include 4,781 residential plots, with 2,088 reserved for FGEHA. These plots are specifically allocated for federal government employees, while the remainder will cater to members of the SCBA.

During the inauguration of the project, SCBA representatives assured proper compensation for those whose land was acquired for the development. They emphasized their commitment to transparency and fairness in handling the acquisition process.

The ‘Margalla Orchards’ project is expected to significantly contribute to meeting the housing needs in Islamabad, particularly for government employees and legal professionals, thereby playing a pivotal role in the city’s development and offering a new residential option for its growing population.
