Malir Industrial Park to Boost Karachi’s Economy, Allots Plots Rapidly to Spur Development

Karachi: The newly established Malir Industrial Park (MIP) is poised to significantly contribute to Karachi’s industrial and economic landscape, promising over 200,000 jobs in the next five years. Announced by the Administrator of the Pakistan Economic Zone Development and Management Company (PEZDMC), Brigadier Muhammad Asad, the park aims to attract substantial industrial activity through simplified processes and advantageous terms for acquiring land.

According to Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, during a recent visit to their facility, Brigadier Asad highlighted that MIP would expedite the plot allotment process, promising a turnaround time of 48 hours. He also announced the inclusion of Kati in the advisory board to ensure the park develops in line with the needs of local industrialists. This strategic inclusion aims to foster a collaborative environment and integrate valuable insights from experienced stakeholders in the planning and execution phases.

The park will offer a comprehensive range of facilities, including advanced security systems, uninterrupted utilities, and robust infrastructure, setting it apart from other industrial zones in the city. Additionally, the park’s framework is designed to support the growth of small to medium-sized enterprises, which are vital for sustained industrialization.

Kati’s President, Junaid Naqi, endorsed the initiative, emphasizing the crucial role of industrial zones in stabilizing the economy, creating jobs, and reducing imports. He advocated for the resolution of prevailing challenges in existing industrial zones and the establishment of new ones under favorable conditions to encourage industrialists to invest and expand their operations.
