Lahore: The ‘Maryam Ki Dastak’ program, originally launched to streamline access to government services, has significantly expanded its reach, now covering 11 districts across Punjab and offering over 60 different services. This expansion is designed to simplify how residents obtain essential services without the need to physically visit government offices.

According to Zameen.Com, the initiative utilizes the ‘Dastak Delivery App’ developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), enabling citizens to conveniently access a variety of services. These services include the issuance of Birth and Marriage Certificates, copies of FIRs, Learner’s Driving Licenses, Vehicle Ownership Transfers, Property Tax Payments, e-Stamping, renewals of International Driving Licenses, and more.

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf highlighted the significant impact of the initiative, particularly benefiting women, the elderly, the sick, and employed individuals by alleviating the need to endure long lines at government offices. He stated, “The ‘Maryam Ki Dastak’ initiative has provided tremendous relief to various segments of society by removing the hassle of visiting government offices and standing in long lines.” The initiative aims to present a modern and innovative approach to public service delivery.
