Meezan Bank and LUMS Collaborate to Enhance Islamic Finance Education in Pakistan

Karachi: Meezan Bank, Pakistan's leading Islamic bank, has partnered with the Centre for Islamic Finance at LUMS to expand access to Islamic finance education across the nation. This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, aims to merge Meezan Bank's market leadership with LUMS' academic resources to develop talent for the Islamic finance sector.

According to Meezan Bank Limited, the first initiative under this partnership will be the development and launch of an online certification program titled "Learning from Leaders of Islamic Finance." This program will offer a structured curriculum, comprehensive assessments, and certification standards to provide participants with practical insights from industry leaders and experts.

The course will be available on LUMSx, LUMS' digital learning platform, allowing for broader access to Islamic finance education through an online format. The MoU was signed by representatives from both institutions, including Mr. Khalid Zaman Khan from Meezan Bank and Dr. Tariq M. Jadoon from LUMS, along with other senior representatives.

Dr. Tariq M. Jadoon emphasized the growing need for accessible learning in the rapidly expanding Islamic finance industry, while Mr. Khalid Zaman Khan highlighted the collaboration as a reflection of Meezan Bank's commitment to advancing Islamic finance education and industry capability through digital platforms.

This partnership represents a significant step in bridging academia and industry, providing a practical learning pathway for those aiming to gain expertise in Islamic finance.
