Islamabad: Mobilink Bank, a leader in digital microfinance banking in Pakistan, has introduced a pioneering inheritance calculator within its Dost app, aimed at enhancing financial autonomy, particularly for women. This innovative tool provides users, especially women, detailed insights into their inheritance rights, promoting greater financial inclusion and equity.
According to Mobilink Bank, the new feature is integrated within the Bank’s consumer app, Dost App, which simplifies the traditionally complex process of inheritance calculations. The tool allows users to input specific family data to receive accurate estimations of their legal inheritance shares, complete with a detailed heir chart that visually represents family connections and legal entitlements.
Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, Interim CEO of Mobilink Bank, stated, “We believe that every individual has the right to financial independence and security. Through this inheritance calculator, we are committed to giving a voice to the women who lack the tools and knowledge to understand their inheritance share and are often denied it. Our platform provides clarity and helps individuals, particularly women, to calculate their rightful inheritance share within minutes. By addressing the challenges of cultural variations, data privacy, and informal practices, we want to ensure that our users know their due share and claim it rightfully.”
The launch of the inheritance calculator is part of Mobilink Bank’s broader initiative to foster an inclusive financial environment, offering a range of services that cater to the diverse needs of its customers. Mobilink Bank is affiliated with VEON group, a global digital operator serving about 160 million customers worldwide.
