Islamabad: Mobilink Bank has again clinched the ‘Best Digital Banking Services’ award in the Microfinance Category at the 21st Annual Excellence Awards by CFA Society Pakistan, marking its second consecutive victory and reinforcing its leadership in digital banking.
According to Mobilink Bank, “The bank experienced a 56% growth in digital channel use in 2024, with monthly transactions exceeding PKR 20 billion, a 50% increase from the previous year. The Dost app alone facilitated PKR 4.5 billion in loans, reflecting a 422% growth. Notably, Mobilink Bank is the sole microfinance bank to offer real-time AI-based account openings through its app.”
The bank’s interim CEO, Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, emphasized that their digital offerings, including the innovative Dost app and the ‘Inheritance Calculator,’ are designed to address market needs and push the envelope in financial services, particularly for women. This commitment has been recognized with top scores on the State Bank of Pakistan’s Women Friendliness Grid scorecard, highlighting their efforts in advancing gender equity within the microfinance sector.
As part of the VEON group, Mobilink Bank continues to focus on expanding digital financial services to underserved areas, aiming to enhance access and inclusion, particularly for women, across Pakistan.
