KARACHI: Muhammad Raza, the Senior Vice President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), has taken over the responsibilities of Acting President of the Chamber with immediate effect. This transition follows the departure of the current President, Rehan Hanif, who has traveled abroad to attend the Kunming Trade Fair in China.
According to Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rehan Hanif is accompanied by Imran Moiz, the Chairman of the Fairs, Exhibitions and Trade Delegation Subcommittee. During Hanif's absence, Raza will manage the duties and powers associated with the President's role. Upon assuming the position, Raza emphasized his commitment to advancing the Chamber's mission of safeguarding and promoting the interests of the business and industrial sectors.
Raza highlighted the importance of maintaining active communication with government bodies and key stakeholders on pressing economic, fiscal, trade, and industrial matters. He assured KCCI members that the Chamber's ongoing initiatives would proceed seamlessly and that all routine and strategic issues would be managed effectively during this interim period.
