Karachi: The President of the North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI), Faisal Moiz Khan, along with several NKATI members, paid tribute to General Syed Asim Munir, recognizing his promotion as the second Field Marshal in Pakistan's history and the first in a democratic era. They termed the achievement as a significant honor for the nation, particularly the business community.

Faisal Moiz Khan noted that General Munir's promotion is a national tribute to his steadfast leadership during critical times in Pakistan. He highlighted that the General's decisive leadership during a recent conflict with India elevated Pakistan's international stature.

According to Khan, on May 7, 2025, India initiated an unprovoked military attack on Pakistan. General Munir's leadership in defending the country with determination and strategic clarity was instrumental in neutralizing the threat and maintaining Pakistan's territorial integrity.

Khan further emphasized that the title of Field Marshal reflects a collective acknowledgment by the government and the nation of General Munir's courage and his ability to unite the armed forces under a cohesive strategy, resulting in a dignified victory.

NKATI officials also expressed their support for the decision to extend the services of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Babar Sidhu, congratulating him on the continuation of his term.
