Dera Bugti: In a groundbreaking move aimed at transforming education and skill development in the region, the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has entered into a partnership with Taaleem Foundation (TF) to establish an eco-friendly school and skills center in Baiker, Phelawagh, District Dera Bugti. With a substantial investment of Rs. 200 million, this ambitious project promises to deliver quality education and vocational training to the local populace.

The memorandum of understanding, inked by Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak, MD/CEO of OGDCL, and Mr. Asim Mushtaq, CEO of TF, underscores OGDCL's dedication to sustainable progress and community empowerment. The ambitious project is slated for completion within a year.

The planned facility is a multipurpose complex designed to offer primary education, adult literacy, and vocational training in practical skills. It aims to foster inclusivity, diminish gender disparities, and enhance socio-economic resilience within the community.

A key focus of the initiative is to empower young women by providing training in sewing, embroidery, and computer literacy. Additionally, the center will host sessions on hygiene and nutrition, thereby fostering overall well-being in the community.

Aligned with OGDCL’s commitment to environmental responsibility, the infrastructure will adhere to EDGE Level-1 Certification standards, promoting energy efficiency, sustainable resource utilization, and a minimized carbon footprint.

This endeavor transcends mere infrastructure development, as it seeks to create avenues for knowledge, skills, and resilience for the underserved communities of Dera Bugti.
