OMC Reports 20% Drop in Sales Volume for June 2026; FY26 Decline at 1% YoY

Karachi: OMC's sales volume for June 2026 experienced a significant downturn, marking a 20% year-over-year decrease, with cumulative sales for the fiscal year 2026 falling by 1% compared to the previous year. The decline in sales volume was noted across key products, with Motor Spirit (MS) witnessing an 11% drop and Hi-Speed Diesel (HSD) experiencing a 20% fall.

According to JS Global, PSO's market share for FY26 also saw a decrease, with its share in the MS market dropping to 38.9%, a 2.2 percentage point decline year-over-year, and its share in the HSD market decreasing to 43.4%, a 2.3 percentage point drop. Despite these declines, PSO reported a recovery in its market share during the fourth quarter of FY26, gaining 1.36% and 0.88% in MS and HSD, respectively, compared to the third quarter.

The report further mentions that government collections from the Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) exceeded targets, surpassing the FY26 target of Rs1.486 trillion by 3%.
