PACRA Maintains Entity Ratings of Select Technologies Amid Market Changes

Lahore: Select Technologies (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Air Link Communication Limited, has had its entity ratings maintained by The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited (PACRA). The company, which specializes in the manufacturing and sale of smartphones and accessories, is recognized as a significant player in Pakistan's technology sector. It operates an advanced assembly line in Lahore with a capacity of 2.7 million units per annum for Xiaomi handsets.

According to The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited, despite a decline in Xiaomi's market share in Pakistan to approximately 4.6% in 2025, Select Technologies has shown improved performance in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026 with net sales reaching around PKR 11,332 million. The company benefitted from decreased costs of goods sold and better operational efficiency. Amidst a competitive market, Select Technologies' financial strategy remains focused on short-term borrowings to meet cash margin requirements for importing mobile components.

Looking ahead, the company is nearing the completion of a new manufacturing facility at the Sundar Green Special Economic Zone. This facility is expected to expand its product line through a strategic partnership with a global electronics brand to manufacture smart TVs and air conditioners. This expansion aims to diversify Select Technologies' portfolio and enhance its revenue base beyond smartphones, supporting its growth prospects in the medium term.
