PACRA Maintains Ratings for Orient Rental Modaraba Amid Stable Financial Profile

Karachi: The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited (PACRA) has maintained the entity ratings of Orient Rental Modaraba, citing its adequate asset base, sound asset quality, and stable profitability trend. The Modaraba, which focuses on the rental and operations & maintenance (O&M) of gensets and other machinery, benefits from its association with Orient Energy Systems (Pvt.) Ltd. through its management company, Eman Management (Pvt.) Ltd.

According to PACRA, the Modaraba leverages complementary business activities and industry expertise, supported by experienced management and a robust internal control framework. A significant portion of its revenue is derived from Ijarah Rentals, with supplementary income from O&M agreements. The gensets are primarily used in the textile and food & beverage sectors, while excavators are deployed at construction sites. O&M services mainly cater to the healthcare, food & beverage, and textile sectors. Despite a broadly stable topline of approximately PKR 1,843 million during 9MFY26, the Modaraba plans to expand its business volumes through core financing and rental ventures, including exploring emerging segments.

The Modaraba is also placing emphasis on Diminishing Musharakah financing, identifying new rental opportunities, and expanding its Facilities Management segment. It is exploring opportunities in electric mobility, with plans to develop an electric bike offering for corporate customers. These initiatives are expected to diversify revenue streams and support growth. Cost optimization remains key for profitability, while maintaining a sound financial profile is crucial for sustaining ratings. The Modaraba's ability to maintain asset quality and profitability, along with its market position, will determine its future ratings.
