Karachi: The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited has maintained the entity ratings of Secure Logistics Trax Group Limited, reflecting the company's established position in Pakistan's logistics sector and its strategic group structure. The company's operations are organized through a company-owned fleet and various subsidiaries, enabling a full spectrum of logistics services from first to last mile, while also embedding financing capabilities.
According to PACRA, the fragmented nature of Pakistan's logistics sector continues to challenge formal operators with pricing pressures, high operating costs, and slow technology adoption. Despite these obstacles, Secure Logistics Trax Group Limited, also known as SLG Trax, has demonstrated resilience through e-commerce growth, with a notable increase in domestic courier revenue. The company's financial profile remains strong, supported by stable gross margins and improved operating margins due to group synergies and operational efficiencies.
In the first half of the current year, SLG Trax's consolidated revenue exhibited a modest growth of approximately 5% on an annualized basis, totaling around PKR 1.5 billion. The company is making strategic moves to broaden its service offerings, including warehousing expansion, automation of fulfillment centers, and the launch of express courier services. Additionally, the company is transitioning its logistics fleet toward electric vehicles, supported by solar-powered charging infrastructure.
The ratings assigned to SLG Trax are contingent upon the enhancement of its business profile and the successful execution of its strategic objectives. Sustained financial performance, robust liquidity management, and strict financial discipline are deemed essential for maintaining these ratings.
