Karachi: The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited (PACRA) has upheld the stability rating of the ABL Islamic Money Market Fund, a low-risk investment vehicle focused on Shariah-compliant assets. As of June 2026, the fund's assets under management reached PKR 52,358 million, marking an increase from PKR 41,956 million recorded in December 2025, illustrating growing investor trust.
According to The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited, the fund's asset allocation reflects a predominantly liquid portfolio, with approximately 87% of assets held in cash and significant portions invested in government-guaranteed instruments and short-term Islamic sukuks. The fund's weighted average maturity stands at 25 days, allowing for rapid repricing in response to monetary policy shifts and providing protection against interest rate fluctuations.
The fund reported a one-year return of 10.34% as of June 2026, outperforming its benchmark return of 9.37% and the peer group average of 9.98%. Despite the positive performance, the fund remains on Rating Watch due to gaps in meeting the upper credit quality spectrum required by rating criteria. Future portfolio rebalancing to align with these benchmarks will be crucial for maintaining the fund's stability rating.
