PACRA Rates Golden Arrow Stock Fund with Mixed Star Rankings Over Multiple Periods


Karachi: The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited (PACRA) has released its latest evaluation of the Golden Arrow Stock Fund, assigning varying star rankings over one-year, three-year, and five-year investment periods. Despite underperforming against the stock market in the one-year and three-year categories, the fund showed significant improvement in the five-year category, nearing top performance metrics.



According to The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited, the Golden Arrow Stock Fund achieved a three-star rating in the one-year evaluation with a return of approximately 61.40%, which fell short of the broader market’s return of 89.24%. Over the three-year period, the fund again underperformed relative to the market with a 16.82% return against a market performance of 65.64%, earning another three-star rating. However, in the five-year evaluation, the fund’s performance substantially increased, yielding a return of about 138.25%, closely trailing the top-performing fund’s return of 138.89%, and earning a four-star rating.



The varying performance highlights the fund’s resilience and adaptation to economic challenges, including policy rate fluctuations, inflation, and global events such as the COVID-19 pandemic. PACRA’s analysis also detailed the fund’s investment distribution, noting significant allocations in sectors like investment banking, textile spinning, and technology, which have varied impacts on its performance trajectory.
