Pakistan Cements See Profitability Surge Amid Rising Demand

Karachi: Pakistan's cement industry experienced a notable increase in profitability in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027, driven by higher sales volumes and increased retention prices.

According to AKD Securities Limited, all companies within its coverage reported earnings growth during this period. The rise in profitability was attributed primarily to increased offtakes and an expansion in profit margins. The report also highlighted a positive outlook for the sector, citing a recovery in demand as a key driver. Among the companies analyzed, Lucky Cement (LUCK), Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL), and D.G. Khan Cement Company (DGKC) were identified as preferred picks for potential investors.

The cement sector's robust performance in the initial quarter underscores a broader trend of demand recovery, positioning these companies favorably in the market.
