Karachi: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) announced the closing exchange rates in the open market, showing stable trading levels across a range of major international currencies. As of August 28, 2026, the exchange rates for the U.S. dollar, euro, British pound, Japanese yen, UAE dirham, and Saudi riyal remained steady, with only minor fluctuations observed in buying and selling prices.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the U.S. dollar's buying rate was 278.30, while the selling rate was recorded at 279.23. The euro was priced at 322.72 for buying and 325.55 for selling. The British pound showed a buying rate of 376.65 and a selling rate of 379.93. Meanwhile, the Japanese yen was exchanged at a buying rate of 1.73 and a selling rate of 1.79. The UAE dirham and Saudi riyal were bought at 75.63 and 73.93, respectively, with selling rates of 76.29 and 74.47.
