Karachi: At the 8th China-South Asia Expo (CSAE) in Kunming, China, Pakistan was distinguished as the Theme Country, reflecting the deepening economic relations between Pakistan and China. The event, attended by key figures from various Asian countries, underscored the significance of Pakistan's role in regional trade dynamics.
According to Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the expo featured extensive participation from Pakistan, including a delegation led by Mr. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, SVP of FPCCI. The expo, which drew over 2,000 exhibitors from 82 countries, provided a platform for Pakistani businesses to showcase their products, ranging from textiles to food products, to a global audience. The presence of Pakistani companies in 400 booths highlighted the country’s diverse industrial capabilities.
The expo also served as a barometer for the burgeoning trade relationships within the region, with last year's event drawing millions of visitors and facilitating significant trade agreements. Despite some concerns about the transparency of booth allotments, FPCCI has committed to addressing these issues to improve future participation.
