KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) saw a decline in key indices on Monday, with the KSE100 and KSE30 indices experiencing drops of 0.20% and 0.19% respectively. The KSE100 index closed at 50,717.83 points, while the KSE30 ended at 170,425.63 points. Market capitalization fell by 0.18%, reflecting broader trends of uncertainty in the market.
According to JS Global, the day saw mixed performances among individual stocks. TRG Pakistan Ltd. emerged as a notable gainer, with its stock price increasing by 10.01% to close at 57.72. Other gainers included Attock Refinery Limited (ATRL) and Airlink Communication Limited, which rose by 2.77% and 1.80%, respectively. Conversely, National Power Parks Management Company Limited (NPL) led the list of losers, witnessing a decline of 2.38%, while Adamjee Insurance Company Limited (AICL) and Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL) also saw decreases in their stock prices.
Trading volume for the session stood at 421.02 million shares, with a total value of Rs 17.74 billion. The PSX market capitalization was recorded at Rs 18,961.54 billion, equivalent to approximately US$ 68.42 billion. This decline comes amidst a backdrop of global market fluctuations, with regional indices such as China's SSEA and India's BSESN also experiencing downward trends.
