Karachi, The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) witnessed mixed trends in its latest trading session, with indices showing both upward and downward movements across different sectors. Key indices such as the KSE30, KSE100, and KMI30 experienced declines, while the KSEALLSHR and KMIALLSHR saw modest gains. The market's turnover and traded values also reflected a diverse trading environment, with significant activity noted in both the regular and future markets.

In the regular market, the total traded value was recorded at PKR 9,899,156,862, a decrease from the previous session's PKR 16,159,131,631. However, the market capitalization saw a slight increase, closing at PKR 9,447,694,311,848, up from PKR 9,430,028,459,673. The future market also saw robust trading, with a total traded value of PKR 10,942,898,100, marking an increase from the previous session.

Among the top companies with significant turnover, Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (P.I.A.C.(A)) led with a closing rate of PKR 31.54, followed by Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (P.T.C.L.) at PKR 18.27. Other notable companies included Cnergyico PK, K-Electric Ltd., and Agritech Limited, each reflecting varied performance in terms of closing rates and turnovers.

In terms of individual company performances, Hoechst Pakistan Limited stood out with an impressive increase, closing at PKR 1,300.00, up by PKR 70.00. On the downside, JDW Sugar Mills Limited, Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited, and Mehmood Textile Mills Limited experienced declines in their close rates, indicating a challenging trading session for these entities.
