Pakistan Stock Exchange Sees Modest Gains as KSE100 and KSE30 Indices Rise.


Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced a slight uptick as the KSE100 and KSE30 indices rose by 0.14% and 0.16%, respectively. The KSE100 index closed at 93,355.43 points, while the KSE30 index reached 28,930.94 points.



According to JS Global, the KSE100 index saw notable gains from companies such as Ghani Glass Limited (GHGL), which increased by 10.02% to a price of 27.57. The Searle Company Limited (SEARL) rose by 9.97%, closing at 86.00, and Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MARI) increased by 7.07% to 456.25. On the other hand, the KSE100 index recorded losses for companies like Mehran Sugar Mills Limited (MEHT), which fell by 8.33% to 501.58, and FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL), decreasing by 6.22% to 84.30.



The PSX market capitalization increased slightly by 0.17%, closing at Rs 12,051.88 billion, equivalent to US$ 43.45 billion. The total volume of shares traded amounted to 807.07 million, with a total value of Rs 31.69 billion, or US$ 114.24 million.



In regional markets, mixed trends were observed. China’s SSE Composite Index rose by 0.5%, while India’s BSE Sensex dropped by 1.3%. Other markets such as Korea’s KOSPI and the Philippines’ PSI also experienced declines, falling by 2.6% and 1.4%, respectively.
