Pakistan Stock Exchange Sees Notable Gains Amidst Market Activity

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed significant gains as the KSE30 and KSE100 indices both advanced, reflecting positive investor sentiment. The KSE100 index rose by 1.02% to reach 175,285.78 points, while the KSE30 index increased by 1.18%, closing at 52,320.98 points. The market capitalization of PSX also saw an increase, reaching Rs 19,782.98 billion.

According to JS Global, TPLRF1 led the gainers in the KSE100 index with a price increase of 7.44%, closing at 10.11, followed by National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Allied Bank Limited (AKBL), which rose by 4.27% and 3.29% respectively. The market also observed notable trading volumes, with the total volume of shares traded reaching 583.80 million and a total value of Rs 26.05 billion.

Among the losers, Ibrahim Fibres Limited (IBFL) experienced a decline of 4.85%, closing at 312.72. TRG Pakistan Limited and Bank AL Habib Limited (BAHL) also saw declines of 2.01% and 1.35% respectively. The regional markets witnessed mixed results, with Korea's KOSPI index showing a significant rise of 6.2%, while Malaysia's KLSE saw a decline of 0.4%. Despite some losses, the overall performance of the PSX reflects a positive trend, driven by investor optimism and increased trading activities.
