Pakistani Currency Rates Show Minor Fluctuations Amidst Global Forex Movements

Karachi: The latest currency exchange rates released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan indicate minor fluctuations in the buying and selling prices of major currencies, including the USD, EURO, GBP, JPY, AED, and SR as of September 6, 2024.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the US Dollar was quoted at 279.10 buying and 280.94 selling, showing a slight adjustment from the previous day’s rates of 279.33 buying and 280.25 selling. Similarly, the Euro saw an increase, moving from 308.30 to 309.23 on the buying side and from 310.51 to 312.34 on the selling side. The British Pound moved up slightly to 366.83 buying and 370.41 selling, compared to 366.22 and 368.51 respectively on the previous day.

Japanese Yen, UAE Dirham, and Saudi Riyal also reflected subtle changes. The Yen was priced at 1.92 buying and 1.97 selling, a slight increase from 1.91 and 1.96. The Dirham shifted from 75.98 to 75.75 buying and from 76.30 to 76.49 selling. The Riyal decreased slightly to 74.00 buying and 74.72 selling from 74.19 and 74.55.

These rates underscore the ongoing adjustments in the forex market, reflecting broader economic indicators and market sentiments. The interbank rates for the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar remained stable with a minor decrease from 278.68 to 278.57 buying and 278.88 to 278.77 selling.
