Islamabad: The latest figures from the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan show minimal changes in the exchange rates between major currencies and the Pakistani rupee between September 19 and September 20, 2024. The interbank rates remained nearly stable, while minor fluctuations were noted in the buying and selling rates of USD, Euro, and GBP among others.
According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, on September 19, the buying rate for the US dollar was 279.41, slightly increasing to 279.44 on September 20. Similarly, the Euro and the British Pound showed small changes in their exchange rates against the rupee. Notably, the interbank rate for the US dollar remained stable, showing a minor decrease from 277.91 to 277.84.
Other currencies, including the Japanese Yen and the UAE Dirham, also showed slight variations. The Saudi Riyal’s rates adjusted marginally over the two days. These fluctuations reflect ongoing adjustments in the forex market, which align with global economic trends and regional financial activities.
