Pakistani Exhibitors Shine at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Expo

Karachi: The Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics (ITSA) and Yarn Expo Autumn edition, one of the largest global textile events, has opened its doors in Shanghai, China, on August 27, running through August 29 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center.

According to Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, sixteen Pakistani exhibitors are participating in this prestigious event, displaying a range of products including cotton, denim, and various yarns. Notable Pakistani companies such as Kohinoor, Mahmood Textile, and Diamond Fabrics are among the exhibitors drawing significant attention from international buyers, showcasing their latest offerings and demonstrating the robust capabilities of Pakistan’s textile sector on a global stage.

Pakistan’s Consul General in China, Shehzad Ahmad Khan, visited the expo, expressing his support for the Pakistani contingent and emphasizing the importance of such international platforms in promoting Pakistan’s textile products. He noted the ongoing efforts to encourage more local manufacturers to participate in global trade shows to enhance their visibility and expand market reach.

Senior Manager of Sales and Marketing at Indus Dyeing, Syed Abedin Ahmed Rizvi, remarked on the positive response from the event, noting the substantial interest from potential clients who are unable to visit Pakistan but can engage with manufacturers at the expo. Similarly, Aisha, a textile designer at Diamond Fabrics, highlighted the exceptional opportunities provided by the expo, citing a high turnout and successful order placements as key benefits of their participation.

The presence of these exhibitors not only underscores Pakistan’s pivotal role in the global textile industry but also reinforces the country’s reputation for quality and competitiveness in meeting international market demands.
