Pakistani Rupee Exchange Rates Remain Steady Against Key Currencies

Karachi: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) announced the closing exchange rates for major currencies on September 18, 2026, reflecting stable conditions in the open market. The U.S. dollar was traded at Rs. 278.19 for buying and Rs. 279.10 for selling, showing minimal fluctuation.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the euro was recorded at Rs. 318.87 for buying and Rs. 321.72 for selling. The British pound stood at Rs. 371.54 for buying and Rs. 375.18 for selling. Other key currencies, including the Japanese yen and the United Arab Emirates dirham, also showed stable rates, with the yen at Rs. 1.75 for buying and Rs. 1.81 for selling, and the dirham at Rs. 75.65 for buying and Rs. 76.25 for selling. The Saudi riyal was noted at Rs. 73.95 for buying and Rs. 74.47 for selling.

The consistency in exchange rates is seen as a reflection of stable market conditions, providing a measure of predictability for businesses and individuals engaged in foreign exchange transactions.
