Pakistani Rupee Faces Fluctuations Against Major Currencies

Karachi: The Pakistani rupee experienced fluctuations against major international currencies on Tuesday, with varied impacts on its value. The interbank rate for the dollar was reported at 279.60 for buying and 279.80 for selling, highlighting slight movements within the market.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the dollar traded between 280.10 and 280.66. The euro was exchanged between 331.22 for buying and 334.13 for selling. Meanwhile, the British pound saw rates ranging from 380.54 to 383.89. The Japanese yen, a less dominant player in the local market, was noted between 1.80 and 1.86.

In the Gulf currency market, the UAE dirham was traded between 76.47 and 77.20, while the Saudi riyal ranged from 74.74 to 75.33. These fluctuations come amid a broader context of economic adjustments and currency market dynamics. The data reflects ongoing changes in exchange rates, impacting various economic sectors.
