Pakistani Rupee Fluctuates Amid Foreign Exchange Volatility

Karachi: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan reported fluctuations in the exchange rates of major currencies against the Pakistani Rupee over consecutive days, impacting traders and consumers alike.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, notable shifts occurred in the buying and selling rates of the USD, Euro, GBP, JPY, AED, and SR from September 23 to September 24, 2024. On September 23, the buying rate for the USD stood at 279.37, which slightly decreased to 279.06 the following day. Similar patterns were observed with the Euro and GBP, which saw incremental hikes in their selling rates.

The interbank rate also experienced minimal changes, demonstrating a relatively stable trend within the banking sector. These fluctuations reflect ongoing volatility in the foreign exchange market, which could potentially influence broader economic indicators.
