Karachi: The Pakistani Rupee displayed minor fluctuations against major global currencies this week, latest figures released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan.
According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates for the US Dollar on July 19 were pegged at 279.05 and 280.50 respectively, showing a slight increase from the previous day's rates of 279.00 and 280.50. The Euro saw a small decrease in its buying rate from 302.56 to 301.28, while the selling rate adjusted from 305.53 to 304.24. The British Pound also decreased in buying rate from 360.14 to 358.26 and in selling rate from 363.57 to 361.62.
The rates for the Japanese Yen and the currencies of the UAE (AED) and Saudi Arabia (SR) remained stable over the two days, reflecting a stable interbank rate for the Rupee at 278.17 buying and 278.37 selling. These minor adjustments in the forex rates come amid broader economic strategies aimed at stabilizing the national currency and fostering economic growth.
