Pakistani Rupee Shows Stability Against Major Currencies

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan released the latest weighted average customer exchange rates, indicating a stable performance of the Pakistani rupee against major global currencies. The data, published by the Central Bank’s Domestic Markets and Monetary Management Department, provides the buying and selling rates for currencies including the US dollar, euro, and British pound.

The exchange rate for the US dollar is reported at 280.6339 for buying and 281.0658 for selling. The euro stands at 322.4297 for buying and 322.9200 for selling, while the British pound is noted at 365.5492 for buying and 366.1214 for selling.

The Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, and Swiss franc also showed consistent rates. The Australian dollar is recorded at 182.1434 for buying and 182.4239 for selling. The Canadian dollar buying rate is 198.8504 and the selling rate is 199.1507. The Swiss franc is listed at 346.7057 for buying and 347.2589 for selling.

Among Middle Eastern currencies, the Saudi riyal and United Arab Emirates dirham are rated at 74.8232 and 76.4124 for buying, and 74.9343 and 76.5211 for selling, respectively.

These rates are indicative of the ongoing economic measures to stabilize the currency market in Pakistan. The exchange rates are crucial for businesses and individuals engaged in foreign trade and travel, impacting import costs and remittances.
